The People behind YICO!

Good Day! Good Day Everyone! A new start for a new day!

In this post I am going to introduce myself for a start. I'll try my best to make you understand me better.

First of all and most importantly, my name is Philip Yong. Nice name isn't it? Well at least to me. I always believe that we should be confident and be proud of ourself. If we want to help other people live a better life then we should live a positive life ourself first. And being confident will ensure you a positive life. Well, not overboard though.

How old am I?
I hope I don't sound too old because I'll be only turning 18 next month! Yup only 18 but with a big dream and hope. I really hope one day YICO will be the gateway for all youths to serve the community. For that, I shall work even harder to make this a success.

When I started to have the enthusiasm to do charity?
Well, I think it started after I join my high school's scouts troop. At that time my school was still a very new school. It was only entering its second year when I joined the school. And at that year the scouts troop was formed. Since then I became very active in school and participated in many activities including charity ones. Being a scout I did not just learn what the book teaches me but as well as a whole new meaning of life. I believe that everyone should be given a fair chance to live their life. Therefore with YICO, I wish to bring HOPE to the less fortunate community.

What are my hobbies?
I remember when I was in primary school I was kinda lost. Lost in the sense that I did not know what I wanted to do all the time. Making my primary school years kind of dull. But that changed after I entered high school. Since my school was very new making my year of students the second batch, we were given the opportunity to lead the school. At a very young age, we were already carrying out activities on our own. That I think is a blessing from God. I mean like how often do you have to lead at a young age right? Oh yeah so back to my hobbies, I love challenging activities such as mountain climbing, camping and so on. You know the usual stuff scouts does. Everytime I step into the jungle I feel like I am at home. I know its weird to feel that way but that is the truth.

What are my dreams/goals?
I often tell people that those whom do not have dreams are prepared to fail. I always believe that if we have dreams we will strive for the best! We will work towards our dream like what I am doing now for YICO! Besides forming a charity organisation, I have another big dream. My dream to become a successful entrepreneur and a corporate leader. Big dream I know but it is not impossible. As long as I am alive I will work towards that goal.

I think I should end it here or you guys will be bored of reading about me. If you're interested in my personal life head on to www.philipyong.com. Thank You for spending your precious time reading this!
